Can I make a difference?

Absolutely. In fact, you are critical. This is a grassroots organization. You decide who meets the Virtues1st criteria. Because of our large numbers, the media and the rest of the public will tend to follow. No one tells you who is the "real deal", the real social conservative. You see. You judge. You lead. Now that is a quantum leap forward!!

Do we have the numbers?

The short answer is that there are millions of us who consider ourselves social conservatives. That makes for a very large voting block. Our challenge, however, is to become active and involved like our cultural foes. It is well established that small groups which are highly organized can be very effective in the political arena. Happily, our pool of voters is not small. You are a big part of the impact we will have. Virtue1st offers a unique opportunity to join together and stay engaged.

Has this been done before?

We don't think so. There have certainly been groups which have worked to get out the vote for social conservatives (ie.- the Moral Majority). But our organization goes beyond merely trying to inform and educate voters. It is more focused on empowering virtuous candidates. To do this, an organization has to provide both volunteer activists and willing donors. Technology has recently made this possible, as was evidenced in the 2008 presidential election cycle.

How do you plan to grow in numbers?

Initially, we plan to make full use of social networking tools like Facebook and Myspace. As we continue to expand, follow-up emails will become another useful tool. Not much further down the road, we have some innovative ideas to broaden and deepen our contacts. Rest assured, we will be very creative and will need the input of volunteers who understand just how vital our work is to preserving Judeo-Christian ethics in society.

What about finances?

We've come to realize that while many of us can give smaller amounts, ignoring traditional large donors is a mistake. We've also come to the conclusion that there is a better, more systematic and efficient way of helping donors find their intended recipients. We will be employing our knowledge of political contributions to provide an unprecedented degree of coordination in the fund-raising process. By working together, we anticipate helping (facilitating) many candidates at different levels. This is a win-win outcome, and is long overdue.

What does this require of me?

There is now no requirement of you other a commitment to the sanctity of life and marriage. Of course, our success will depend on many of you helping when and where you can. We will operate as an ongoing, non-partisan campaign for Virtue. As such, we have a higher calling than the simple election of individual candidates.

What do I get out of it?

That's hard to say. Like many other endeavors, it somewhat depends on what you put into it. Certainly America will be better off if its citizens become active stewards of their Judeo-Christian heritage. You should definitely have the satisfaction of knowing that you made a significant contribution. Two of the most exciting things we will accomplish are strategic straw polls and serious broad-based fundraising. Perhaps the best reward is to be part of the solution and work alongside others who care deeply about the future of our country and its moral standing.
